Liability Waiver
All students and members (collectively referred to as ‘patrons’) purchasing our offerings must agree to
the following:
- Patrons understand that there are inherent risks associated with learning and practicing pottery,
including but not limited to, working with clay and glazes, using pottery related equipment and
tools, etc. - Patrons must follow all instructions provided by teachers and studio staff.
- Patrons will wear appropriate clothing that are comfortable and may not be caught up in the
pottery equipment, they must tie long hair and not wear and jewelry or other items that may be
a liability in performing the steps required for every stage of the ceramics process - Patrons will not approach or attempt to load, unload or operate the kilns without express
consent and supervision from the staff.
I am voluntarily participating in the offerings provided by Spin Pottery Studio inc., and I understand the
inherent risks associate with all of the steps of the ceramics process which may include, but are not
limited to, physical or psychological pain and suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent
disability, paralysis, economic or emotional loss and death.
I acknowledge that the studio activities may be strenuous and may involve a test of a person’s physical
and mental limits. I have consulted with my healthcare practitioners and have been cleared to
participate in the activities.
I hereby release Spin Pottery Studio Inc., its agents, representatives, successors and/or assignees from
all liabilities, actions, claims, damages, demands, costs, expenses, which I now or in the future may have
against them; arising from my participation in the studio activities. I understand that the waiver
includes, but is not limited to, all injuries to me, loss of personal property, any claims based on my
alleged negligence or any actions or inaction of any of the above parties.
I also give Spin Pottery Studio Inc. the permission to publish in print, electronic or video format, images
of myself and/or my work at the studio for the general purpose of promoting the studio and its
offerings.
