Liability Waiver
All students and members purchasing or participating in our offerings are collectively referred to as “Patrons.”
By purchasing or participating in any Spin Pottery Studio offering, Patrons acknowledge and agree to the following:
Safety Responsibilities
- Patrons understand that there are inherent risks associated with learning and practising pottery, including, but not limited to, working with clay and glazes and using pottery-related equipment and tools.
- Patrons must follow all instructions provided by instructors and studio staff.
- Patrons must wear appropriate, comfortable clothing that cannot become caught in pottery equipment.
- Long hair must be tied back.
- Patrons must not wear jewellery or other items that could create a safety risk while performing any stage of the ceramics process.
- Patrons must not approach, load, unload, or operate the kilns without the express consent and supervision of Spin Pottery Studio staff.
Acknowledgement of Risk
I am voluntarily participating in offerings provided by Spin Pottery Studio Inc., and I understand the inherent risks associated with all stages of the ceramics process.
These risks may include, but are not limited to:
- Physical or psychological pain and suffering
- Illness
- Disfigurement
- Temporary or permanent disability
- Paralysis
- Economic or emotional loss
- Death
Health and Ability to Participate
I acknowledge that studio activities may be strenuous and may involve a test of a person’s physical and mental limits.
I confirm that I have consulted with the appropriate healthcare practitioners, where necessary, and that I am able to participate safely in the activities offered by Spin Pottery Studio Inc.
Release of Liability
I hereby release Spin Pottery Studio Inc., its agents, representatives, employees, instructors, successors, and assigns from all liabilities, actions, claims, damages, demands, costs, and expenses that I may now or in the future have against them arising from my participation in studio activities.
I understand that this waiver includes, but is not limited to:
- Personal injury
- Loss of personal property
- Claims arising from my own alleged negligence
- Claims arising from the actions or inaction of any of the parties listed above
Photography and Media Permission
I give Spin Pottery Studio Inc. permission to photograph or record me and/or my work while I am at the studio.
I authorize Spin Pottery Studio Inc. to publish these images or recordings in print, electronic, social media, website, or video format for the general purpose of promoting the studio and its offerings.
Acknowledgement
By purchasing, booking, registering for, or participating in a Spin Pottery Studio offering, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to this Liability Waiver.
